Throughout his life Plamen’s musical interests
have included the accordion, guitar, piano, keyboard and contrabass, with
his favourite being piano! In 1985, he completed 12 years of formal music
training which solidified the basis for his future career.
In 1995 Plamen
furthered his education by completing a 5 year Masters Degree in Musical
Pedagogy (MMus) from the Academy of Music and Dance Bulgaria, Europe.
Although he is a classically trained musician, Plamen also enjoys
popular and folk music styles. He has arranged more than 100
song and has composed several original works.
Plamen is experienced in accompanying
choirs and solo vocalists. As a singer, playing and singing is what he like
the most.
He has been secretary and
chairman of the music committee of his church. where he led a musical
team of nearly 150 musicians. He developed musical seminars, workshops,
forums, festivals and competitions.
Plamen has taught privately in areas such as
Piano, Music theory,
Harmony and Solfeggio.
As a teacher, Plamen knows how to help his students set and achieve their goals. He invests all of his skills
and knowledge so that they can develop and succeed as highly
skilled musician.
Plamen is an
Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG). He has specialized in piano repair and tuning – apprenticing with
some of the most renowned piano technicians in Europe and Canada.
Using his
experience as both performer and tuner, he turns the process of tuning into a
real art, elevating the instrument to its best possible performing condition.
