Throughout his life Plamen’s musical interests have included the accordion, guitar, piano, keyboard and contrabass, with his favorite being piano! In 1985, he completed 12 years of formal music training which solidified the basis for his future career.
In 1995 Plamen furthered his education by completing a 5 year Masters Degree in Musical Pedagogy (MMus) from the Academy of Music and Dance Bulgaria, Europe.                             
Although he is classically trained musician, Plamen also enjoys popular and folk music styles. He has arranged more than 100 songs and has composed several original works.           

       

 

Plamen has taught privately in areas such as Piano, Music theory, Harmony and Solfeggio. As a teacher, Plamen knows how to help his students set and achieve their goals. He invests all of his skills and knowledge so that they can develop and succeed as highly skilled musician.
He is a member of Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association (ARMTA) and participates in seminars and conferences to keep the highest levels of teaching standards.

Plamen has specialized also in piano repair and tuning – apprenticing with some of the most renowned piano technicians in Europe and Canada. He started his piano technician career in the Calgary area contracting his services with Rhythmic Studios Inc and servicing privately to the public.  Using his experience as both performer and tuner, he turns the process of tuning into a real art, elevating the instrument to its best possible performing condition. He is an Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) and participates in seminars and conferences to keep him updated of what’s new in the piano world.
